144 Norton Cottage
144 Norton Cottage is a small quirky little cottage, situated in a small hamlet called Norton in East Sussex. We are nicely tucked away from the busy world, whilst still being close enough to the shops.
Norton is conveniently situated for Walkers who want to explore the South Downs. We are roughly a 2 mile walk via footpaths to the South Downs Way.
The living room offers a cosy open fire to sit in front of after a busy day of adventures. There is a TV / DVD player and many books on the shelf to choose from, don't worry if you don't have time to finish reading, please feel free to take the book with you. In the cupboard you will find a large collection of leaflets of local places to explore and a small selection of toys for our younger guests.
The kitchen in 144 was refurbished in November 2018 offering lots of space to make meals using the induction hob, fan oven and the microwave. There is a fridge freezer in the kitchen and a table to seat 4 people. There is also a washer dryer.
A highchair is available upon request.
The bathroom is two steps down from the kitchen and has a bath with overhead shower, washbasin and a separate toilet room, there is a downflow heater for those chilly evenings.
The main heating is from two Electric heaters one in the lounge and one at the top of the stairs, You have use of the open fire when you are home, this should not be left unattended.
The Cottage has two bedrooms on the first floor, a double bedroom with built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside tables. A twin room with two single beds, a chest of drawers and bedside table. All the beds are made up for guests’ arrival with fresh white sheets and towels for each guest. There is a blanket avalible for each bed if required. We have a travel cot available upon request, which can be placed in either bedroom.
144 has a front courtyard looking across the fields, this is a lovely area to sit down in the evenings and catch the last of the sun. There is a rotary washing line which can be placed in the front courtyard. There is also a small garden at the back of the property, to enjoy the peace of the countryside. The cottage has a small front shed where you could store bicycles if you wish to bring them along and is also where you will find fire wood for the open fire.
There is a private driveway where you could fit up to 3 cars.
There is Wi-Fi available throughout the property.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Norton Farm, please keep them under Close control as we are a busy working Farm.
Farm tours are usually available on request, depending on the weather and staff availability.
