Our Heritage

During late 1920/early 1921, farmer Fred Collinson, moved from the leafy Surrey Hills to take on the tenancy of a 1,000-acre farm on the South Downs in East Sussex. Today the same farm, Norton Farm near Seaford, with the addition of 3 Holiday Lets, is being farmed by Fred’s grandson Paul and his three children, Rachel, Jo and Mark. Quite a landmark to have a farm in the same tenancy, and now ownership, of the same family for such a long period. The cottages are located in the serene rural hamlet of Norton, nestled within our 1,000-acre farm. This idyllic setting is perfect for exploring the South East. Norton lies within the beautiful South Downs National Park, conveniently located near the coast between Newhaven and Seaford. Here, you'll find the Norton herd of pedigree South Devon cattle, along with a large Flock of sheep.
